Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Chapter one of title 24 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding thereto a new section 24-163.3 to read as follows:
�24-163.3 Prohibition on the use of manganese-based fuel
additives. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law, no
agency, department, board or commission of the city or any entity a majority of whose members are officers of the city or are
appointed directly or indirectly by officers of the city shall use any fuel in any motor vehicle owned or operated by such agency,
department, board, commission or entity that contains any additive having manganese in any chemical form as a component.
�2. This local law shall take effect sixty days after it is
enacted into law.
