Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Subdivision a of section two thousand three hundred and three of the charter of the city of New York is amended to read as follows: a. The jurisdiction, powers and duties of the commission shall include the regulation and supervision of the business and industry of transportation of persons by licensed vehicles for hire in the city, pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. The commission shall have the exclusive authority to enforce any laws or rules promulgated thereunder with respect to the regulation and licensing of medallion taxicabs. �2.
