Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 1 of Title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section 17-179 to read as follows:
�17-179 All city employees, including administrative personnel and Paraprofessionals, employed in city schools shall be required to have a certificate of Proficiency in the use and practice of cardiopulmonary resuscitation issued by the commissioner or a public health organization certified by the commissioner.
�2. This local law shall take effect ninety days from enactment.
