Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 7-704 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding a new subdivision c, to read as follows: c. The corporation counsel shall establish a separate unit solely responsible for bringing and maintaining civil proceedings for any violation of any provisions of this chapter. The corporation counsel shall assign whatever personnel are necessary to handle the caseload of this civil nuisance abatement law enforcement unit. �2. This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment into law. - 1 -
