Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 20-688 of Subchapter 8 of Chapter 4 of Title 20 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York is hereby amended as follows: �20-688 Penalties. Any person, firm, corporation or association or agent or employee thereof, who shall violate any of the provisions of this subchapter or of the regulations promulgated pursuant to section 20-688 shall pay a civil penalty of not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than two hundred fifty dollars for each violation [and shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than twenty-five nor more than two hundred and fifty dollars for each such violation]. �2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
