Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter 49 of the New York City charter is hereby amended by adding a new section 1136.2 to read as follows: §1136.2. Proposals submitted for the approval of the electors. No individual, partnership, political committee, employee organization, corporation or other entity shall make, either directly or by transfer, any contribution or contributions, which in the aggregate shall exceed the limitations for contributions for the office of mayor as set forth in subparagraph (i) of paragraph (f) of subdivision 1 of section 3-703 of the administrative code, to support or oppose a new or revised city charter, or an amendment to the charter or the administrative code, submitted for the approval of the electors pursuant to the provisions of the municipal home rule law. §2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
