Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 3317.5 of the building code of the city of New York, as added by local law number 33 for the year 2007, is amended to read as follows: 3317.5 Operation. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, material hoists with a manufacturer’s capacity over one ton shall be operated only by persons holding a Class A or Class B Hoisting Machine Operators License [except during installation, jumping, dismantling or alteration operations]. §2.
