Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 28-105.1.2 to read as follows:
§28-105.1.2 Notification to fire department of demolition permit. The commissioner, in consultation with the fire commissioner, shall promulgate rules within one hundred and twenty days of the enactment of this section, establishing standards, procedures and requirements for the department’s electronic notification of the fire department when a demolition permit is issued for any building. Such notification shall include information sufficient to inform the fire department of the location of the building that is the subject of such permit and shall be made at least (i) ten business days prior to the issuance of such permit if the building is seventy five feet or more in height and at least (ii) three business days prior to the issuance of such permit for all other buildings.
§2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
