Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter one of title 15 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 15-129 to read as follows: §15-129 Reporting underground fires caused by electrical infrastructure. Within twenty-four hours after responding to a fire caused by underground street electrical infrastructure, the department shall notify the council member in whose district such fire occurred. Such notification shall include, at a minimum, the date, time and location of such fire, and causation, if known. §2. This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment into law.
