Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. The New York city charter is amended by adding a new section 1063.1 to read as follows: §1063.1 Webcast of parent meetings. The New York city department of education shall make available to all parent associations, parent teacher associations and community education councils, webcast technology and equipment necessary to enable such entities to digitally record for webcast all of their public meetings. The technology and equipment made available shall enable live webcast presentations of such public meetings for viewing by members of the applicable parent association, parent teacher association or community education council and shall enable such meetings to be recorded and posted for subsequent access on the internet by such individuals. §2. This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment into law. AES LS# 579 3/15/2010 6:00pm
