Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Subchapter 3 of chapter 1 of title 3 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 3-131 to read as follows: §3-131 Veteran liaisons. The head of each city agency shall designate an employee to act as liaison with veterans within such agency and shall notify the office of veterans' affairs of the name and contact information of such liaison. Such liaison shall advise veterans within such agency of benefits and services available to veterans at such agency and employee personnel policies applicable to veterans at such agency. At the request of the office of veterans' affairs, the head of each city agency shall make such liaison available to confer with and receive periodic training from the office of veterans' affairs. The office of veterans' affairs shall post on its website the names of persons designated to act as such liaison within each agency. §2.
