Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter two of title 12 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 12-207 to read as follows: §12-207 Veterans and open competitive examinations. Applications for competitive examinations issued by the department pursuant to section 50(3) of the civil service law and section 814(a) of the charter shall include a question as to whether the applicant is a veteran of any branch of the United States armed services. §2. This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment into law. MWC LS 1683 April 8, 2011
