Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter two of title 12 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 12-207 to read as follows: § 12-207 Open competitive examinations, estimates. When the commissioner announces competitive examinations pursuant to section 50(2) of the civil service law and section 814(a)(3) of the charter, he or she shall simultaneously post on the department’s website the estimated number of positions that each respective examination to be administered is expected to fill and an estimate of the approximate date or dates when such positions will be filled. The department shall also include the estimated number of positions available and an estimated timeline indicating when appointments from the eligible lists generated by such examinations are expected to be made in all advertisements or postings for each respective competitive examination. §2. This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment into law. MWC LS 1679 April 18, 2011
