Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 3-209 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as added by local law 34 for the year 2004, is amended by adding a section heading and by adding a new subdivision f to read as follows: §3-209. Voter registration forms. f. The department of education of the city of New York shall provide voter registration forms to all families at the same time and in the same manner as it provides school enrollment forms. The department shall forward any completed voter registration form that it receives to the board of elections of the city of New York. The department shall also make voter registration forms available on the department’s website. § 2. This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment into law.
