Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Subdivision a of section 11-243 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding new paragraphs 9, 10 and 11 to read as follows: 9. "Green roof" shall mean a roofing system covered with vegetation and soil, or a growing medium, planted over a waterproofing membrane. 10. "Solar panel roof" shall mean a roofing system that utilizes solar panels or a photovoltaic device. 11. "White roof" shall mean a roofing system that utilizes white paint to reflect radiation back into space. �2. Subdivision b of section 11-243 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new paragraph 11 to read as follows: ;or (11) the installation or alteration of a green roof, solar panel roof, or a white roof. �3.
