Summary
This bill would require all outdoor public notices posted by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) or required to be posted by DOHMH to be posted both in English and the two most commonly spoken languages of the top six limited-English proficiency languages as determined by the Department of City Planning, based on United States Census data. The bill would additionally require DOHMH, in conjunction with the Department of City Planning to determine the most commonly spoken languages in each zip code.
