By Council Members Greenfield and Koo WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on December 4, 2014 a copy of its designation dated November 25, 2014 (the "Designation"), of the Hawthorne Court Apartments located at 215-37 to 215-43 43rd Avenue and 42-22 to 42-38 216th Street, Community District 11, Borough of Queens, as a landmark and Tax Map Block 6306, Lot 15, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on January 23, 2015, its report on the Designation dated January 21, 2015 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on February 24, 2015; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation; RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
