By Council Members Greenfield and Koo WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on June 5, 2015 its decision dated June 3, 2015 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services for the site selection of property located at 58-26 47th Street (Block 2601, Lot 25), within an M3-1 District in the Maspeth section of Queens, Community District 5 (the "Site"), Borough of Queens, for use as an aeration facility (ULURP No. C 150218 PSQ) (the "Application"); WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on June 22, 2015; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues and the negative declaration (CEQR No. 13DEP010Q) issued on January 12, 2015 (the "Negative Declaration"); RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant impact on the environment as set forth in the Negative Declaration. Pursuant to Section 197-d of the City Charter and on the basis of the Application and Decision, the Council approves the Decision. Adopted.
