Summary

This bill would require the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to report to the Council, either as part of the Mayor’s Management Report or as a standalone report, data on immunization rates of New Yorkers for the Human Papillomavirus, often referred to as HPV.

Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter 1 of title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 17-199.4 to read as follows: � 17.199.4 HPV Vaccination Reporting. No later than September 30, 2017, and annually no later than September 30 of each year, the department shall submit to the speaker and post on its website, or shall include in the mayor's management report prepared pursuant to section 12 of the charter, the most recent fiscal year data available on vaccination rates for New York city residents for the human papillomavirus, disaggregated by the gender of the recipient, and by age group, series initiation, and series completion. Such data shall include, but need not be limited to, anonymized information that has been reported to the department for inclusion in the citywide immunization registry. � 2.
