By Council Members Greenfield and Koo WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on August 2, 2016, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a new, approximately 476-Seat Primary School Facility to be located at Block 19, Lots 11 and 13 in the Financial District of Manhattan, Community District No. 1, Borough of Manhattan, serving students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in Community School District No. 2 (the "Site Plan"); WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on August 9, 2016; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues, including the negative declaration issued on July 6, 2016, (SEQR Project Number 17-001) (the "Negative Declaration"); and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan; RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment as set forth in the Negative Declaration. Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan. Adopted.
