Summary
The proposed legislation would require the Department of Education to collect information from students in grades six through 12 about their commute times to school, publish such information in the NYC School Survey Report, and submit such information to the Mayor, the Council and Borough Presidents. The data would be disaggregated by community board district, community education council district, council district, school, grade level, English language learner status, race or ethnicity, and gender.
