Summary
This bill would require the Department of Education (DOE) to distribute information about the IDNYC municipal identification program to every student at the start of each school year. At a minimum, the DOE shall provide every student with an IDNYC application form, as well as information about IDNYC eligibility requirements and application process, including but not limited to a list of documents accepted to prove IDNYC identity and residency requirements and relevant school or caretaker attestations.
