Summary

This bill would require that mandatory debates under the Campaign Finance Act be broadcast on a City owned or operated television channel, in addition to any other channel or channels on which they are broadcast.

Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 3-709.5 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended to add a new subdivision 13, to read as follows: 13. In addition to any broadcast plan adopted pursuant to paragraph (vii) of subdivision 5 of this section, each debate held pursuant to this section shall be broadcast simultaneously on the city-owned or operated television channel serving the largest public audience. � 2.
