Summary
This bill would require the Department of Veterans’ Services to provide counseling services, including advice, evaluation, and information to veterans seeking assistance with federal, state, and city benefits that they may be entitled to based on their military service. Services would be provided by trained staff and would be available, at a minimum, in at least one location in each of the five boroughs, including at each veterans resource center.
