Summary
This bill would require the Department of Homeless Services (DHS) to provide written notice whenever it enters into a contract for the development of homeless shelters and subsequently makes any changes to the contracted capacity or use of the shelter through a contract modification. The notice would be sent to all parties who originally received notice of the shelter, including, the affected community board and council member within 10 days of the comptroller’s registration of the contract modification.
