Summary
The proposed bill would require inspections of food service establishments conducted by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to include an assessment of whether such establishments are complying with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and guidance regarding gluten-free labeling. The bill would also require that instruction and testing on gluten be part of any food protection course provided by DOHMH.
