WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission filed with the Council on October 19, 2018, its decision dated October 17, 2018 (the "Decision") on the application submitted pursuant to Section 197-c of the New York City Charter by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), for site selection and acquisition of property located at 25 14th Street (Block 1031, Lots 1, 62, 67, and 71), Community District 6, Borough of Brooklyn (the "Site"), for use as a fleet vehicle maintenance and repair facility, (ULURP No. C 180418 PCK) (the "Application");
WHEREAS, the Decision is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 197-d(b)(3) of the City Charter;
WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Decision and Application on November 15, 2018;
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Decision and Application; and
WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues, including the negative declaration issued May 18, 2018 (CEQR No. 18DOT036K) (the "Negative Declaration").
RESOLVED:
The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant impact on the environment as set forth in the Negative Declaration.
Pursuant to Section 197-d of the New York City Charter and on the basis of the Decision and Application, and based on the environmental determination and consideration described in the report, C 180418 PCK, incorporated by reference herein, the Council approves the Decision for the site selection and acquisition of the Site for use as a fleet vehicle maintenance and repair facility with the following modifications:
Matter double struck out is old, deleted by the City Council;
Matter double-underlined is new, added by the City Council;
The application submitted by the New York City Department of Transportation and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services for the site selection and acquisition of property located at 25 14th Street (Block 1031, Lots 1, 62, 67, 71) is approved for use as a Department of Transportation fleet vehicle maintenance and repair facility.
