By Council Members Salamanca and Adams WHEREAS, the New York City School Construction Authority submitted to the Council on June 3, 2019, a site plan pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law for a new, approximately 458-Seat Primary School Facility located at 1302 Edward L Grant Highway (Block 2871, Lots 61 and 140) in the Jerome Avenue Rezoning Area in the Bronx, Community District 4, to accommodate students in Community School District No. 9 (the "Site Plan"); WHEREAS, the Site Plan is subject to review and action by the Council pursuant to Section 1732 of the New York State Public Authorities Law; WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Site Plan on June 6, 2019; WHEREAS, the Council has considered the relevant environmental issues, including the negative declaration issued on May 13, 2019, (SEQR Project Number 18-015) (the "Negative Declaration"); and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Site Plan. RESOLVED: The Council finds that the action described herein will have no significant effect on the environment as set forth in the Negative Declaration. Pursuant to Section 1732 of the Public Authorities Law, the Council approves the Site Plan. Adopted.
