By Council Members Salamanca and Adams WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on December 19, 2019 a copy of its designation report dated December 10, 2019 (the "Designation"), designating the 55 West 28th Street Building, Tin Pan Alley located at 55 West 28th Street, Community District 5, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Tax Map Block 830, Lot 7, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter and Section 25-303 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on February 7, 2020, its report on the Designation dated February 5, 2020 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on February 12, 2020; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation. RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter and Section 25-303 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, the Council affirms the Designation.
