WHEREAS, the Landmarks Preservation Commission filed with the Council on November 18, 2021 a copy of its designation report dated November 9, 2021 (the "Designation"), designating the 200 Madison Avenue First Floor Lobby Interior located at 200 Madison Avenue, Community District 5, Borough of Manhattan, as a landmark and Tax Map Block 865, Lot 14, as its landmark site pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter; WHEREAS, the Designation is subject to review by the Council pursuant to Section 3020 of the New York City Charter and Section 25-303 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York; WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission submitted to the Council on January 14, 2022, its report on the Designation dated January 5, 2022 (the "Report"); WHEREAS, upon due notice, the Council held a public hearing on the Designation on February 9, 2022; and WHEREAS, the Council has considered the land use implications and other policy issues relating to the Designation. RESOLVED: Pursuant to Section 3020 of the City Charter and Section 25-303 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York, and on the basis of the information and materials contained in the Designation and the Report, and the record before the Council, the Council affirms the Designation.
