Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 19-162 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as amended by local law number 104 for the year 1993, is amended to read as follows: 1. Notwithstanding any local law or regulation to the contrary, but subject to the provisions of the vehicle and traffic law, it shall be permissible for a bus owned, used or hired by public or nonpublic schools to park [at any time, including overnight,] upon any street or roadway, provided said bus occupies a parking spot in front of and within the building lines of the premises of the said public school or nonpublic school, and further provided said bus shall not park on any street or roadway on weekdays between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. or on weekends between the hours of 5:00 p.m. on Friday and 5:00 a.m. on Monday. � 2. This local law takes effect 120 days after it becomes law, provided that the commissioner of transportation must take such measures as are necessary for the implementation of this local law, including the promulgation of rules, prior to such effective date.
