Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter 3 of title 21 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 21-314.3 to read as follows: � 21-314.3 Process navigator services. a. Definitions. For purposes of this section, the terms "children," "family with children" and "intake center" have the same meaning as in section 21-317. b. Services required. The commissioner shall provide the services of a process navigator to each family with children who seeks assistance at an intake center. Such services shall include, but not be limited to, assistance in understanding the procedures, meetings, interviews and documents necessary to complete applications at the intake center and obtain best solutions for temporary shelter placement. A process navigator shall also be available to respond to applicant questions before and after a meeting or interview at an intake center. � 2.
