Summary
This bill would prohibit smoking on sidewalks immediately adjoining parks. It would also increase civil penalties relating to smoking in parks and on other property under the jurisdiction of the Department of Parks and Recreation from $50 to $200 for each subsequent violation committed within one year of a first violation. Additionally, it would set civil penalties of $50 for a first violation related to smoking on sidewalks immediately adjoining parks and $200 for each subsequent violation committed within one year of the first violation.
