Summary
This bill would require the Department of Small Business Services (SBS) to conduct a study to measure the negative economic impact of film and television production on local businesses, including loss of revenue, and to issue an associated report to the Mayor, Speaker of the Council, and the public. This bill would further require SBS to create a plan to mitigate the loss in revenue that local businesses experience due to filming activity.
