Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Article 215 of chapter 2 of title 28 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 28-215.1.4 to read as follows: � 28-215.1.4 Notification to owner of emergency demolition. As soon as practicable after determining that demolition of a structure is required pursuant to section 28-215.1, the commissioner shall notify the owner of the structure in writing of: (i) the need for the demolition; (ii) the approximate date that the demolition will begin; (iii) the owner's responsibility to pay for the demolition; (iv) an estimate of the demolition's cost; and (v) the telephone number and email address of a department employee with knowledge of procedures related to demolitions performed pursuant to section 28-215.1; and (vi) any other information the commissioner deems appropriate. � 2.
