Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 19-188.2, as added by local law 1 for the year 2022, is amended by adding a new subdivision d to read as follows: d. If any traffic study conducted by the department determines it is appropriate to install, on any portion of a street adjacent to a school, a traffic calming device as defined in section 19-183 or a traffic control device, the department shall complete the installation of such traffic calming device or traffic control device by no later than 60 days after the department issues such traffic study determination, provided that this subdivision shall not apply to the installation of any such traffic calming device or traffic control device installed as part of a major transportation project as defined in section 19-101.2. � 3.
