Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 18-107 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new subdivision g to read as follows: g. No later than eighteen months after any tree within the jurisdiction of the commissioner falls or is removed by the department due to disease, pest infestation, accidental or weather-related damage, or death, the department shall plant a replacement tree at the same location, unless the commissioner determines that the location is not suitable for tree planting. � 2.
