Summary
This bill would permit the Department of Transportation, Department of Sanitation (“DSNY”), and any Department designated by DSNY to place a sticker, no larger than 8.5x11 inches, on the window of any motor vehicle as a method of enforcing alternate side parking rules.

A Local Law to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to the use of adhesive stickers on motor vehicles in the enforcement of alternate side of the street parking rules
..Body
Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Section 19-163.2 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as added by local law number 20 for the year 2012, is amended to read as follows:
� 19-163.2 [Limitation on the use] Use of adhesive stickers in the enforcement of alternate side of the street parking rules. [Neither the] The department [nor], the department of sanitation, [shall] and any other department designated by the department of sanitation may affix an adhesive sticker to [any] a window of a motor vehicle [solely in connection with] to advise the operator of such vehicle of the [enforcement] violation by such operator of alternate side of the street parking rules. The dimension of any such sticker shall not exceed eight and one-half inches by 11 inches.
� 2. This local law takes effect immediately.
