Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Section 25-102.2 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as added by local law number 104 for the year 2023, is amended to read as follows:
� 25-102.2 Posting certain information related to street and park names. a. Beginning July 1, 2023, for any street, park, playground, facility or structure, or portion thereof, renamed or co-named in accordance with section 25-102.1 of this chapter, an office or agency designated by the mayor, shall make biographical [and/or] or background information about the person or entity for whom the naming is on behalf of available on its website within 90 days of the enactment of the local law which named the street, park, playground, facility or structure, or portion thereof.
b. To the extent practicable, no later than July 1, 2024, an office or agency designated by the mayor, shall make biographical [and/or] or background information available on its website about the person or entity for whom a street, park, playground, facility or structure, or portion thereof, was renamed or co-named by any [bill] local law enacted between January 1, 1990 and July 1, 2023.
c. 1. An office or agency designated by the mayor pursuant to this section shall obtain biographical or background information about a person or entity for whom a street, park, playground, facility or structure, or portion thereof, was renamed or co-named from:
(a) The legislative record for the local law that named such street, park, playground, facility or structure, or portion thereof; or
(b) Where such legislative record does not include any such biographical or background information, any other source such office or agency identifies through its own research.
2. Where such an office or agency obtains such biographical or background information through its own research, such office or agency shall, to the extent practicable, indicate on its website the source of any such information.
3. Where biographical or background information required to be made available pursuant to subdivision a or b of this section is not available, such office or agency shall indicate on its website that such information is not available.
� 2. This local law takes effect 90 days after it becomes law.
