Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Title 21 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding a new section 21-310 to read as follows:
�21-310 Prohibiting the doubling up of families in Tier II shelters. The city shall not permit the placement of two or more unrelated families in an apartment-style unit of a Tier II shelter, as defined in section 900.2 of title 18 of the official compilation of the codes, rules and regulations of the state of New York.
�2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
