Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 224 of the New York city charter is REPEALED. �2. The enactment of this local law shall not be construed as a basis for the breach or impairment of any existing contract to procure works of art pursuant to section 224. �3. This local law shall take effect immediately; except that, for any eligible capital project for which funds have been allocated-and expended on works of art, or for which contracts to procure works of art have been executed, pursuant to section 224, prior to the effective date of this local law, funds for such purposes shall be allocated in accordance with section 224.
