Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Chapter 5 of title 19 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 19-532 to read as follows:
�19-532. Participation in automated fare collection system. Every taxicab licensed pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall be equipped to enable participation in the automated fare collection system established for any highway, bridge, tunnel or other public way or facility designed for vehicles and having at least one terminus in the city of New York.
�2. This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment into law.
