Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 20-713 of the administrative code of the city of New York, is amended to read as follows: �20-713 Display of prescription drug prices. Every pharmacy must conspicuously post, at or adjacent to each counter over which prescription drugs are sold, (a) a list [conspicuously] displaying the current selling price of the drugs designated on [a] the form prescribed for that purpose by the [department.] State Board of Pharmacy, New York State Education Department, and (b) a separate sign that states, in large type: "State Law requires current prices to be posted on the prescription price list." In addition, every pharmacy offering a discount to senior citizens on prescription drug prices shall include on this sign a statement that there is a senior citizen discount on prescription drug prices and the amount or percentage of that discount. �2. This local law shall take effect immediately.
