Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. 10-162. Towing of vehicles by police department personnel.
Except as provided in sections 19-169, 24-221 and subchapters thirty-one and thirty-two of chapter two of title twenty of this code, and any regulations promulgated thereunder, the police department shall use police department tow equipment, operated by employees of the police department, to tow vehicles that are in violation of any state or city vehicle and traffic rule or regulation.
�2. This local law shall take effect 60 days after its enactment into law.
