Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter one of title 16 of the administrative code of the city of New York is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section 16-141 to read as follows: � 16-141 Disposal of solid waste. The Commissioner shall be required to provide for the final disposal of no less than five thousand tons per day of non-recyclable solid waste by a method other than landfilling or incineration no later than July 1, 2012 �2. This law shall take effect immediately. LS # 2679 CJC-8/13/03
