Be it enacted by the Council as follows:
Section 1. Subchapter 2 of chapter 1 of title 19 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 19-169.3 to read as follows:
§19-169.3 Parking of large vehicles. a. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary, for the purpose of this section, “large vehicle” shall mean
any sports utility vehicle, minivan, truck, bus, school bus, truck or other vehicle having a height greater than sixty-three and one third inches.
b. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law to the contrary, large vehicles shall not be permitted to stand or park within six feet of a driveway servicing a property used for residential or commercial purposes.
§2. This local law shall take effect thirty days after it is enacted into law.
