Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter one of title 19 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding thereto a new section 19-162.3 to read as follows: §19-162.3 License plate frames. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, it shall be permissible for the license plate on a motor vehicle to be placed within a metal or plastic frame while a vehicle is parked so long as such frame does not obscure the numbers, letters or other identifying information on such license plate and does not in any way hinder the identification of that motor vehicle. §2. This local law shall take effect thirty days after its enactment into law. PH Int. 384/2004
