Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 3319 of chapter 33 of the New York city building code as added by local law number 33 for the year 2007, is amended by adding a new subsection 3319.6.1 to read as follows: 3319.6.1 On-site crane inspections and reporting. Any crane in operation in the city shall be inspected no less often than once every three months by a department inspector or a person qualified to conduct such inspections, as determined by the department. A report of such inspections shall be submitted to the commissioner and maintained at the site where the crane is located. Such inspections shall be comprehensive in accordance with the rules promulgated by the commissioner and shall include all aspects of inspection required for certification pursuant to subsection 3319.6. §2. This local law shall take effect sixty days after its enactment, except that the commissioner of buildings shall take such actions as are necessary for its implementation, including the promulgation of rules, prior to such effective date.
