Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Section 17-123 of chapter 1 of title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended to read as follows: §[17-123]17-124 Aliens. The commissioner may send to such place as he or she may direct, all aliens and other persons in the city, not residents thereof, who shall be sick of any communicable disease. The expense of the support of such aliens or other persons shall be defrayed by the city, unless such aliens or other persons shall be entitled to support from the commissioner of immigration and naturalization of the United States. §2. Section 17-185 of chapter 1 of title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as added by local law number 2 for the year 2004, is renumbered section 17-196. §3. The heading of section 17-190 of chapter 1 of title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York, as added by local law number 63 for the year 2005, is added to read as follows: §17-190 Deaths of homeless persons and homeless shelter residents; report. §4. Subchapter 1 of chapter 3 of title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is REPEALED. §5. Subchapter 5 of chapter 3 of title 17 of the administrative code of the city of New York is REPEALED. §6. This local law shall take effect ninety days after its enactment into law.
