Be it enacted by the Council as follows: Section 1. Chapter 1 of title 14 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 14-152 to read as follows: §14-152 Annual information technology strategy. No later than April 1 of each year, the department shall produce and transmit to the council and the mayor an information technology strategy report detailing the department’s plans for the procurement and deployment of all technology and telecommunications initiatives in the following fiscal year. Such strategy report shall include a plan for the phase-out of the use of typewriters for all departmental purposes by fiscal year 2013. § 2.
